CRANE SAFETY
In today’s litigious society safety is everyone’s business. At Atlas Crane Service, crane safety is paramount. We are overseen by the D.O.T. ,C.H.P. , CAL-OSHA, N.C.C.C.O, the state contractors license board as well as others.
It is in our best interest to make sure we stay up to par with all the new regulations and requirements that allow us to legally operate our business in the state of California.
We believe planning, preparation and training are the best ways to prevent accidents.
Let’s face it, the construction site can be a dangerous environment and there’s no room for error, this is where training and experience come in. We strive to keep the lifting process a safe process by assessing the conditions and looking for job site hazards. These could include but are not limited to soil conditions, vaults, power lines, parking structures and other issues that may have been missed or overlooked prior to the lift.
We have an in-house maintenance program and are also vetted by third party inspectors. All of our cranes are certified annually, quad annually and inspected daily. Our operators are certified by the NCCCO and in good standing. We do our part by providing safe and well kept machines; well trained, drug tested and certified operators, and are committed to having another accident free year.
We adhere to and are governed by the following standards:
- Cal-Osha 29 CFR 1926.550
- Cal-Osha 29 CFR 1910.180
- ANSI and ASME B30.5
- PCSA #2 and #4
